Election 2010 Results - Mabini Pangasinan

Last may 2010, Filipino experience the first ever automated election here in Philippines.This is a very significant milestone in our country’s history given those long years of tedious manual election process that not only gives burden to our teachers and volunteers, but has also left doubtful and questionable election results. Through the PCOS (Precinct Count Optical Scan System) machine, an automatic counting of votes will take place. This won’t only make the task of our teachers lighter, but would also lessen massive cheating during election. 12 May 2010 - The Municipal Board of Canvassers has proclaimed the following winners of the 10 May 2010 elections after canvassing the 21 precincts of Mabini, Pangasinan. Tourism Trade Expo 2010

Last April 23 to May 09 2010 Pangasinan celebrates its Provincial Pista’y Dayat (Sea Festival). And Part of the Celebration was the Trade Expo. The Expo named: Aliguas ed Turism tan Ekonomiya” It is open to all Pangasinan LGUs and MSMEs (Micro-Small-Medium Enterprise) to showcase their prime tourist destinations, tourism services and local products. This is the first time LGU-Mabini joined the Trade Expo and garnered 3rd Prize in the Best LGU (Local Government Unit) OTOP (one town one product) booth category. LGU of Mabini transforms its 3 x3 meter nipa booth into a replica of a cave. This was to promote their caves in their place and to promote Balincaguin Conservancy (BC), a caving group based in Mabini as well. The booth was decorated as a cave entrance complete with cave walls, stalactites, and vines. Inside the photos of Mabini caves were displayed along with cave survey maps by BC.
